[origin: WO2021018581A1] The invention relates to a device for producing bundles of individual packages from grouped individual packages in a blank formed from a packaging material, said device having a folding unit for attaching tabs of the blank wrapping the package assembly in the transport direction to the package assembly, which tabs protrude beyond the package assembly transverse to a transport direction, said device also having a transport unit. The invention also relates to a corresponding method with the steps of: - transporting the package assembly by means of a transport unit along a transport plane through a wrapping unit and a folding unit, - wrapping the package assembly with the blank in the transport direction of the transport unit, and - attaching tabs of the blank to the package assembly, said tabs protruding beyond the package assembly transverse to the transport direction. In accordance with the device according to the invention, the blank is formed from a paper material.
