Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eineArretierungsvorrichtung (1) für Möbel, insbesondere für durch Drehung eines Möbelabschnitts verstellbare Möbel, mit einer zur Verstellung des Möbels drehbaren Achse (2), welche eine auf ein vorgestimmtes Winkelsegment (a) um die Achse begrenzte Eingriffausnehmung (3) aufweist; einem Sperrelement (4), welches zum rotatorischen Sperren der Achse (2) durch Eingreifen in die Eingriffausnehmung (3) ausgebildet ist; einem Stützlager (5), welches zur rotatorisch um die Achse (2) festgelegten Abstützung des Sperrelements (4) ausgebildet ist; und einem um die Achse (2) umlaufenden Stellring (6), welcher eine konturierte Ausnehmung (7) zur radialen Verstellung des Sperrelements (4) innerhalb des Stützlagers (5) bei Rotation des Stellrings (6) um die Achse (2) aufweist, wobei das Sperrelement (4) durch die radiale Verstellung in die Eingriffausnehmung (3) eingreifen kann, so dass die Achse (2) über das Sperrelement (4) mit dem Stützlager (5) rotatorisch arretierbar ist. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ferner ein drehbares Möbel, insbesondere Drehsessel, mit einer derartigen Arretierungsvorrichtung (1) sowie ein Verfahren zum Arretieren eines durch Drehung eines Möbelabschnitts verstellbaren Möbels.
