[origin: WO2021027986A1] The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for preparing the cutting edges of cutting tools (5), in particular of drills, milling cutters or similar tools (5), in particular carbide cutting tools, wherein the cutting tool (5) interacts during a relative movement in a metal-cutting manner with a grinding tool (2), which is provided with erosive particles and is flexibly attached, and the particles of the grinding tool (2) influence the edge geometry of the cutting tool (5), wherein the grinding tool (2) is adapted in respect of the dimensions thereof substantially to the dimensions of the respective cutting tool (5) to be prepared and is received in an interchangeable holder (4), which is held in the region of a machining device, in particular a tool grinding machine, and can be machine-cut by the cutting tool (5) for cutting edge preparation. The invention further relates to a corresponding method and to a corresponding grinding tool (2).
