Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021032301A1] The invention relates to a pedal for a motor vehicle, having a pedal arm (2), at least one first return spring (8) and a friction system (10) that comprises a separate friction element (12) and a friction surface (6.1.1) of the base part (6), which surface is designed to correspond to the separate friction element (12). In order to provide a pedal for a motor vehicle in which resetting of the pedal arm (2) into its rest position is improved, the friction system (10) has a rocker (14) rotatably arranged on the base part (6) and the at least one first return spring (8) is arranged between the separate friction element (12) and the rocker (14), wherein the separate friction element (12) is connected, by means of the at least one first return spring (8) and at least one connecting element (16), to the pedal arm (6) so as to transmit compressive force, and wherein at least a second return spring (18) is arranged between a bearing part (20) and the base part (6) or the rocker, which bearing part is connected, by means of the at least one connecting element (16), to the pedal arm (2) so as to transmit compressive force.
