[origin: WO2021043414A1] An improved microphone blocking detection method and system that utilizes control information from a control unit (4) capable of detecting wind noise or handling noise from microphone signals, optionally combined with signals from inner sensors (9) (such as a voice accelerometer, a voice pickup sensor or an inner microphone) to prevent erroneous blocking detection when the control unit (4) has identified wind noise, handling noise or other abnormalities. The method can further utilize detection of background noise and a user's own voice detection (OVD) information as additional controlling features to stop the blocking detection in a silent situation when there is no background noise or speech.
