[origin: WO2021037469A1] The invention relates to a diffuser (10) for a gas generator (50), comprising a substantially tubular main body (11) having a longitudinal axis, a baffle cap (12), which is axially connected to the main body (11), on a first end (13) of the diffuser (10) and a connection apparatus formed on a second end (14) of the diffuser (10) opposite the first end (13), wherein at least one outflow opening (21, 22) is formed in an outer wall of the tubular main body (11) such that gas can flow out of the diffuser (10) from the interior of the diffuser (10), substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis (16), in the direction of the first (13) and second (14) end, the baffle cap (12) having no outflow opening. The invention furthermore relates to a gas generator having such a diffuser, an airbag module which has such a gas generator, and to a method for producing the diffuser.
