Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021005073A1] A method for aligning data to provide an environmental data model of a scene, includes providing a server database with a plurality of data sets by a remote server. Each data set has at least one of a feature reference point, an object reference point, and an object of a scene. A vehicle receives first data sets form the server database, where the data sets have at least one feature reference point. The vehicle collects ambient data and generates feature reference points of the collected ambient data. It further aligns feature reference points of the collected ambient data with at least one of the first data sets and generates second data sets describing new and/or amended feature reference points. Finally, the vehicle transmits the second data sets to the server, which refines the server database by using the data included in the second data sets and forwards the refined datasets to vehicles for further alignments.
