[origin: WO2021102148A1] A head-mounted display, or other near-to-eye display, incorporates optics that include a spatially-varying retarder (SVR). The SVR may be manufactured with a correction factor applied thereto in order to compensate for one or more manufacturing errors that are exhibited in a molded lens and/or a polarizing beam splitter included in the optics of the system.
