[origin: CA3188342A1] The invention relates to a firing selection unit (1) for a firearm, comprising a first firing selection lever (11) with an integrally formed safety shaft (13) and a first actuation element (12) lying outside of the lower housing for actuation purposes. The firearm also comprises a bearing section (14), a selector section (15), and a connecting section (16). The aim of the invention is to simplify disassembly and exchangeability. This is achieved in that the firing selection lever (11) is designed to be coupled to a safety element (2) in a spring-biased manner, and the firing selection lever has a positioning protrusion (18) which projects in the direction of the opposite firearm side on the connecting section (16). The firing selection lever has a bore (17) with a complementary shape in a longitudinal direction (51) for receiving a connecting unit (3) which comprises a connecting element (31), a spring (36), and a spring securing unit (37).
