[origin: WO2021052639A1] The invention relates to a gas piston accumulator with a piston-cylinder unit, the hydraulic chamber (7) of which can be connected to a hydraulic line (21), wherein a piston (5) preloaded with a preload force (FV) acts on the hydraulic chamber (7) to apply an accumulator pressure (pS) to the hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic line (21). The preload force (FV) is achieved by a gas pressure (pGas) in a gas chamber (9), which is separated from the hydraulic chamber (7) by the piston (5), with at least one cylinder base (15, 17) of the gas piston accumulator being assigned to the piston (5) as a mechanical stop, the piston (5) also having an axially setback piston main body (31), on the gas side of which and/or on the hydraulic side of which a stop structure (29) projects, reduced in area by comparison with the piston side concerned, which stop can be brought into pressure contact with the cylinder base (15, 17). According to the invention, the stop structure (29) formed on the piston (5) has a sleeve-shaped continuation (39) projecting from the piston main body (31), the outside diameter of which continuation is less than the diameter or the circumference of the piston (5) and the free, annular end face of which can be brought into pressure contact with the cylinder base (15, 17).
