[origin: WO2021058615A1] The invention relates to a machine (1) for producing a single-ply decorative base paper web (2), having a forming section (4) designed as a long screen and having a circumferential dewatering screen (6) and a headbox (5) for applying at least one fibrous material suspension layer onto the dewatering screen (6) and preferably having a dandy roll (7) which is immersed in the side of the at least one fibrous material suspension layer facing away from the dewatering screen (6), and having a press section (13) and a drying section (22), the at least one fibrous material suspension layer being dewatered on the dewatering screen (6), thereby forming the decorative base paper web (2) with a screen side and a top side (3). The machine according to the invention is characterised in that a transfer strip (10) for transferring the decorative base paper web (2) from the dewatering screen (6) is arranged in such a manner that the top side (3) comes into direct contact with the transfer strip (10) and the transfer strip (10) is devoid of a dewatering element or a press nip serving to increase the dry content of the decorative base paper web (2).
