Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021058331A1] A method is proposed for measuring a distance between a vehicle and an identifier. The vehicle comprises a first radio frequency unit and the identifier comprises a second radio frequency unit. The method comprises two-way communication between the first radio frequency unit and the second radio frequency unit. The two-way communication comprises, for one or more frequency channels and by at least one from among a first radio frequency unit and a second radio frequency unit, an application of a predetermined and constant gain. The method further comprises determining a respective phase shift for each frequency channel. The method further comprises determining the distance between the vehicle and the identifier on the basis of the phase shifts. The method allows the measurement of the distance between the identifier and the vehicle to be improved.
