Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021086279A1] The invention is power control method for an electric hob comprising a first electric heater (10) and at least one second electric heater (20) provided on a panel (1); an electronic control unit (50); a processor (52) and an input unit (52) where level setting input is provided, which are connected to each other for signal transmission, and a memory unit (56) that stores the normal switching period data corresponding to each level setting. The power control method includes the operation steps of reading activation signal by the processor (52) of the first electric heater (10) and the second electric heater (20) from the input unit (54); activating a safety mode when the sum of the instantaneous power value of the first electric heater (10) and the second electric heater (20) for the stage is greater than a predetermined safe threshold power value, replacing the normal switching period to a reduced switching period stored in the memory unit (56), such that the total instantaneous power consumption value of the first electric heater (10) and the second electric heater (20) remains smaller or equal to the threshold power value, and drives the first electric heater (10) and the second electric heater (20) accordingly.
