[origin: WO2021063962A1] An elevator car (3) comprises a movable car apron (10) which is mounted on the car (3) so as to be pivotable about a horizontal swivel axis (9) and which has a flat apron element (11) for blocking the gap between the car and the landing. The car apron (10) extends across the entire width of the car (3) and has leg elements (14) which protrude at right angles away from the skirt element (11) and are each positioned laterally next to a car side wall (7). Furthermore, stowed-position securing means (15) are provided for holding the car apron in the stowed position, and blocking-position securing means (16) are provided for securing the car apron in the blocking position.
