[origin: WO2021063644A1] The invention relates to a device (1) for treating containers (10), comprising a main transport device (2) which is suited and designed for the continuous transport of the containers (10) along a specified main transport path (P) and comprising at least two treatment devices (4a, 4b) which are suited and designed for the treatment of the containers (10) in a specified manner, wherein the treatment devices (4a, 4b) have respective treatment transport devices (42) which transport the containers (10), and the containers (10) can be transferred from the transport device (2) to one of the treatment devices (4a, 4b, 4c) in order to be treated using the treatment device (4a, 4b), said containers (10) being transferable back to the transport device in particular after being treated by the treatment device (4a, 4b). According to the invention, at least one of the treatment devices (4a, 20, 4b) can be converted from a working state, in which the treatment device (4a, 4b) treats the containers in the specified manner, to a rest state, in which the containers (10) do not undergo a treatment by the treatment device (4a, 4b), and a transport operation of the transport device (2) and a work operation of at least one other treatment device can be continued during the rest state of said treatment device.
