Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2021063800A1] The present invention relates to a method for addressing a terminal (e.g. 1-1), preferably a meter, of a group of terminals (1-1, 1-M), in which a primary wireless communication channel (4) is provided between a gateway (e.g. 2-1) and the respective terminal (e.g. 1-1), assigned to the gateway (e.g. 2-1), of a wireless communication system, preferably a wireless MBus communication system, wherein, in order to improve the primary communication, the gateway (2-1, 2-N) is assigned a sub-network (6-1, 6-N) which is formed of the gateway (2-1, 2-N) in question and at least one terminal (e.g. 1-1), preferably a group of terminals (1-1, 1-M), a terminal network address (7-1, 7-M) is generated for each terminal (1-1, 1-M) assigned to the gateway (2-1, 2-N) of the sub-network (e.g. 6-1, 6-N), and the terminal network address (7-1, 7-M) is used to transfer data in the primary communication channel (4) between the gateway (2-1, 2-N) and terminals (1-1, 1-M) assigned to the gateway.
