Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021069739A1] Release unit (1) for actuating an elevator brake device (2), having a main release body (3) that is mountable on the elevator car, a releaser (5), a contact member (6) and a coupling link (7), via which the contact member (6) is able to be connected to an elevator brake device (2), wherein the release unit (1) is designed such that the releaser (5) thereof keeps the contact member (6) at a distance from the guide rail (9) in a non-released state and brings same into frictional contact with the rail (9) in the released state, such that the contact member (6), in the event of a relative movement between the elevator car and the guide rail (9), moves along a gap between the main release body (3) and the guide rail (9), entrains the coupling link (7) and causes the elevator brake device (2) to respond automatically as a result of the movement of the coupling link (7), wherein the release unit (1) is mountable on the elevator car separately or at a spacing from the elevator brake device (2) and is connected to the elevator brake device (2) only via the coupling link (7).
