[origin: WO2021073999A1] The invention relates to a method for a model-based optimization of a film product during a production process on a film extrusion system (10) using a production model (PM) of the film extrusion system (10), having the following steps: − detecting at least two model parameters (MP) in the form of input parameters (EP) of the production model (PM) in order to predict a production situation of the film extrusion system (10) and/or at least two model parameters (MP) in the form of output parameters (AP) of the production model (PM) in order to predict a film product situation of the film extrusion system (10), − forming a parameter relationship between the detected model parameters (MP) using the production model (PM), − prioritizing at least one model parameter (MP) of the production model (PM) for the optimization process, and − changing at least one non-prioritized model parameter (MP) of the production model (PM) on the basis of the formed parameter relationship in order to optimize the prioritized model parameter (MP).
