[origin: WO2021074019A1] A method for calibrating a display system comprising a display device (1) having a display layer (11), which has controllable display pixels (111), and having a barrier layer (12), which has controllable barrier cells (121) by means of which display pixels (111) of the display layer (11) can be covered, said system also comprising at least a first camera (2), an electronic control unit (3) and a detection object (4), wherein: the display device (1) transmits a first test image (5) comprising a test pattern, in which the barrier layer (12) covers some of the test image by means of a barrier pattern, so that a partially covered test image is imaged onto the detection object (4), with regard to at least two reference zones (41, 42) of the detection object, said test pattern and said barrier pattern producing light and dark zones of the partially covered image; and the first camera (2) captures the partially covered test image (5) on the detection object (4) with regard to the coverage and/or positioning thereof with relatively light (51) and relatively dark (52) zones of the partially covered test image on the two reference zones (41, 42) of the detection object (4), and thereafter the control (3) of the barrier layer is calibrated.
