[origin: WO2021078375A1] Expansion valve devices for refrigeration or air-conditioning circuits having a control valve (54), consisting of a flow housing (34) with an inlet (40) and an outlet (42), an actuator (10) via which a coupling element (26) having a control body (52) is axially movable, and at least one first throughflow cross-section (64) between the inlet (40) and the outlet (42), which is surrounded by a valve seat (56) and which can be closed and opened by means of the control body (52), are known. In order to completely and reliably interrupt a fluid flow between the inlet and the outlet without the need for additional actuators, the expansion valve device comprises a shut-off valve (72) which is located in fluid connection between the inlet (40) and the control valve (54) and which has a closing element (74) that can be moved via the coupling element (26) by actuating the actuator (10) of the control valve (54).
