[origin: WO2021087388A1] Certain aspects of the present disclosure are generally directed to a minimally-invasive, or non-invasive, method that assesses a patient's condition with regard to urothelial cancer. Several embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods to characterizing mRNA profiles of extracellular vesicles (EV) such as exosomes and microvesicles from urine samples of a patient to assess, diagnose, or otherwise determine that patient's status with regard to urothelial cancer.
