[origin: WO2021083852A1] The present invention relates to a method for connecting components of a battery (102), wherein, as the first component (104), a bulkhead plate (106) of a frame (104) of the battery (102) is placed onto a magnetorheological pad (116) and plastically moulded by the pad (116) and a magnetic field (302) is generated in the region of the pad (116) in order to harden the pad (116), wherein, as the second component (400), at least one cell module (400) of the battery (102) is pressed into a thermally conductive paste (110) which was previously applied to a surface of at least one of the components (104, 400), while the bulkhead plate (106) is supported over its entire surface area by the hardened pad (116), wherein the thermally conductive paste (110) is distributed laterally between the cell module (400) and the bulkhead plate (106).
