[origin: WO2021089341A1] The invention relates to a magnetic separator having a housing (1), which has an interior space (2), a connection (3) and a flange (4), having a cover (5), which is releasably connected to the flange (4) and has a cup (8) which can be introduced into the interior space (2), and having a magnet arrangement (11), which comprises a permanent magnet (9) which can be introduced into the cup (8). In order to improve the maintenance properties, it is proposed to provide a movable arresting element (17; 17'), which is intended to secure the permanent magnet (9) introduced into the cup (8) and is brought into form-fitting engagement with the magnet arrangement (11) as a result of the connection between the cover (5) and flange (4).
