Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2021094412A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a feed melt for a converter treatment, characterized in that a premelt (9, 9') is produced by combining liquid crude iron (5, 5') from a blast furnace and/or from a smelting reduction system with at least one of the components from the group consisting of: liquid crude steel (7) from an electric arc furnace; liquid crude steel from an induction furnace; liquid crude iron (7') from an electric arc furnace; liquid crude iron from an induction furnace; solid crude iron from an induction furnace; solid sponge iron from an induction furnace; liquid crude iron from a submerged arc furnace (SAF). The invention further relates to a method for producing a liquid crude steel by means of a converter treatment of a feed melt produced in such a way, by combining said feed melt with additional components in a converter vessel, and to a crude steel production system for carrying out a method of this type, comprising a crude iron feed, a component feed, a mixing device for combining crude iron and components, and a converter vessel.
