[origin: WO2022096385A1] The invention relates to a pyrotechnic object (2), more particularly a diversionary device, stun grenade (4) or ammunition, comprising: - a detonating device (6); - a delay chamber (16), which extends along a delay line (18) and in which a delay charge (20) is accommodated; and - at least one and preferably a plurality of effect chambers (26), in each of which an effect charge (28) to be detonated is held; wherein the delay chamber (16) is cross-connected to each effect chamber (26) by means of a respective cross-detonation opening (30), which branches off from the detonation chamber (16) and forms a cross-detonation line; wherein, in the case of a plurality of effect chambers (26), the multiple cross-detonation openings (30) lead off successively along the delay line (18) in the order of the effect charges (28) to be detonated. According to the invention, a cross-detonation charge (32) different from and chemically deviating from the effect charge (28) in question is provided in the cross-detonation opening (30) or in each of the cross-detonation openings (30) in order to at least partly close the cross-detonation opening (30) by means of the combustion residue (36) of the cross-detonation charge after the cross-detonation charge has burned off and thereby to reduce or damp propagation of a pressure surge, which arises as a result of the detonation of the effect charge (28) in the effect chamber (26) in question and acts on the delay chamber (16) via the cross-detonation opening (30) in question.
