[origin: WO2021097508A1] The invention relates to a method for controlling an apparatus for resharpening a steel edge (1) of a ski (2), the apparatus having a ski receptacle and at least one sharpening device (12) which is movable, being fed, in the longitudinal direction of the ski in relation to the ski receptacle, which sharpening device is mounted rotatably about an axis extending in the feed direction (v) and is connected to a swivel drive (22) which, by means of a control device, rotates the sharpening device (12) in order to adjust the edge angle (α, β) according to the position of the sharpening device relative to the length of the ski. In order to create simple control conditions, according to the invention the steel edge (1) is resharpened in at least three sharpening regions (23, 24, 25) at different edge angles (α, β), the feeding paths of the ski receptacle in relation to the sharpening device (12) are determined for the different edge angles (α, β) for the individual sharpening regions (23, 24, 25) from specified sharpening regions (23, 24, 25) relating to a standard ski length on the basis of the actual length of the ski (2) to be resharpened, and the swivel drive (22) is controlled by the control device in order to adjust the angle position the sharpening device (12) according to the feeding path and the edge angles (α, β) associated with these feeding paths.
