[origin: WO2021099263A1] The invention relates to a lift system (1) which has a lift shaft (3), a lift cabin (5) and a driving device (7) for moving the lift cabin (5) inside the lift shaft (3). The driving device (7) comprises a linear motor (9) which has a stationary part (13) fixed on a shaft wall (11) of the lift shaft (3) and a movable part (15) fixed on the lift cabin (5). Between the stationary part (13) and the movable part (15), the driving device (7) has an air bearing (17) which is configured to keep the stationary part (13) spaced apart from the movable part (15) across an air gap (19) between said parts.
