[origin: WO2021099975A1] An apparatus (10) for gripping one or more intermodal containers (11), and that is usable in an equipment for lifting and transporting said loads or intermodal containers (11); the apparatus comprising means (12) for supporting the apparatus, connectable to the lifting and transporting equipment to which the apparatus is associated, i.e., connectable to corresponding means (13) for lifting and lowering the same lifting and transporting equipment, and means (14), that can be activated and deactivated, for gripping said load or respective intermodal container (11), in particular including first and second means (141, 142) for gripping said load or respective intermodal container (11), especially at opposite transversal ends thereof. Means (16) are provided, which are adapted to move said means (14) for gripping said load or respective intermodal container (11) in relation to said load or respective intermodal container (11) and/or in relation to the zone where said load or respective intermodal container (11) has to be placed.
