[origin: EP4063559A1] Provided are a composite material capable of further enhancing properties derived from carbon nanotubes adhered to a fiber, and a method for manufacturing the composite material. In a composite material 10, a structure 12 including a plurality of carbon nanotubes 14 is formed on a surface of a fiber 11 that constitutes the composite material. The carbon nanotubes 14 have a bent shape. The carbon nanotubes 14 adhere to the surface of the fiber 11 which is a curved surface in various postures, and another carbon nanotube 14 enters a space (gap) formed between the carbon nanotubes 14 and the surface of the fiber 11, between the adhered carbon nanotubes 14, or the like. According to this, the structure 12 is formed by more carbon nanotubes 14.
