[origin: WO2021105001A1] The life jacket comprises a harness (1) designed to be fitted over the torso of an individual and comprising a dorsal structure (4) and a ventral structure (3), at least ventral buoyancy tubes (11) attached to the harness (1), and manual inflation means (32) for inflating the ventral buoyancy tubes (11). The uninflated ventral buoyancy tubes (11) are arranged in the dorsal structure (4) of the harness (1) and, when inflated, they are deployed in the ventral structure (3) of the harness (1). The harness (1) comprises a guide rope (15) extending along its dorsal (4) and ventral (3) structures and the ventral buoyancy tubes (11) are attached to the harness (1) by a connector (12) that can also be inflated and is designed to be deployed, under the action of the inflation means (14), by being guided along the guide rope (15). The life jacket is only deployed on the front of the abdomen in the event of difficulty.
