[origin: WO2021105049A1] The invention relates to a method for orienting an item (2) to be transported transversely to the transporting direction thereof using a transport apparatus, and to a transport apparatus (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) for direction-changing conveying of an item (2) to be transported, in particular liquid containers or packages of liquid containers, having an inlet transporter (3) that feeds the item (2) to be transported in a first transport direction (5), an outlet transporter (4) that discharges the item (2) to be transported in a second transport direction (6), and a curved transporter (12) connected to the inlet transporter (3) on the inlet side and to the outlet transporter (4) on the outlet side. The curved transporter (12) is adjustable transversely to the first transport direction (5) with respect to the inlet transporter (3), and the outlet transporter (4) and the curved transporter (12) are connected together via a first coupling portion (7) of variable length in the adjusting direction of the curved transporter (12), and/or the curved transporter (12) is adjustable transversely to the second transport direction (6) with respect to the outlet transporter (4), and the inlet transporter (3) and the curved transporter (12) are connected together via a second coupling portion (8) of variable length in the adjusting direction of the curved transporter (12).
