The controller (13) is connected to the at least one fan (11) for control purposes and is designed to control and regulate same, wherein the at least one fan (11) and the at least one air guide channel (14) are arranged in the air chamber (3), and a respective air guide channel (14) fluidically connects a respective ventilation opening (22) provided in a first panel (21) to each fan (11). A second panel (21'), in which a suction opening (23) is provided, forms a labyrinth channel (25), and an opening of the labyrinth channel (25) forms the suction opening (23), said opening being fluidically spaced from the air chamber (3). The at least one fan (11) divides the air chamber (3) into a first section (31) delimited by the air guide channel (14) and a second section (31) delimited by the wall (1) and the piece of furniture (2) and is designed to generate an airflow into the second section (31) of the air chamber (3) through the suction opening (23) and the labyrinth channel (25) and out of the second section (31) through the air guide channel (14) such that air from the fan (11) can be suctioned through the suction opening (23) and can be blown out through the ventilation opening (22).
