[origin: WO2021105585A1] The invention relates to a method for managing a list of contents accessible for zapping, the digital contents being downloadable in an HTTP adaptive streaming (HAS) mode by a multimedia stream reader terminal. Said digital contents are each associated with a description file comprising a list of time segments of the contents, each time segment being associated with multiple encoding rates of the contents. Said zapping management method involves: - receiving a request to access a list of the digital contents; - obtaining description files associated with the digital contents in the list; - determining a maximum rate for encoding the time segments of the digital contents accessible for downloading, on the basis of a resource constraint obtained by the multimedia stream reading terminal; - creating an enhanced list of contents in which at least one of the digital contents is associated with a playback quality indicator assigned to the content on the basis of the determined maximum encoding rate.
