[origin: WO2021104878A1] According to various examples, a paging areas determined based on a mobility pattern of a wireless communication device. The mobility pattern can be determined while the wireless communication device is operating in an idle mode. For example, a paging 5 area update request message can include an information element that is indicative of the mobility pattern. It would also be possible to determine the mobility pattern based on a sequence of paging area update request messages.
