[origin: WO2021110471A1] The invention relates to a rotor for an electric motor, comprising a rotor shaft and a rotor core which is attached to the rotor shaft and comprises a number of core sheets arranged along the axis of the rotor core. Each core sheet contains a central opening through which the rotor shaft passes and which has a contour including at least two elevations extending radially and at least two recesses positioned between the elevations. In order to form a press fit of the core sheets on the rotor shaft, the distance between the free ends of the elevations is smaller than the diameter of the rotor shaft, and a channel extending over the periphery of the rotor shaft is formed by the recess of each of the core sheets arranged one behind the other.
