[origin: WO2021115580A1] A method for automatically controlling at least one driven axle (1) of a motor vehicle (2), said motor vehicle (2) having: at least one axle (1) comprising at least one wheel (3); at least one drive unit (4) for providing a drive torque (5) for the at least one axle (1) and for the at least one wheel (3); and a control device (6) for automatically controlling the drive unit (4), said method being carried out during operation of the motor vehicle (2), and comprising at least the following steps: a) determining a first actual speed (7) of the motor vehicle (2); b) determining a second actual speed (8) of the at least one wheel (3); c) calculating a target speed (9) of the at least one wheel (3) for the determined first actual speed (7), with parameters being taken into consideration; d) determining an actual slip (10) of the at least one wheel (3) relative to the ground on which the motor vehicle (2) is moving; wherein if the actual slip (10) exceeds a defined first limit slip (11), according to step e) the control device (6) generates a limit torque (11), by which the drive torque (5) produced by the drive unit (4) is adjusted.
