[origin: WO2021119702A1] The invention relates to a tool (1) for driving in fasteners (10), in particular staples, comprising: a mechanical energy store (3); an ejecting device (5), which can be linearly moved in a guide device (4) between a clamping position (S) and an ejecting position (A), the ejecting device (5) having a driver element (6) and a shooting device (2); a spindle drive (8), which is driven by an electric motor (9), the driver element (6) being able to be connected to the spindle drive (8) and being able to be releasably coupled to the shooting device (2), the ejecting device (5) being able to be moved in the direction (RS) toward the clamping position (S) by means of rotation of the spindle drive (8) in a first direction of rotation and the mechanical energy store (3) being able to be thereby loaded; a locking device (7) for locking the shooting device (2) in the clamping position (S), the locking being releasable and the shooting device (2) being able to be moved in the direction (RA) toward the ejecting position (A) by means of actuation of the locking device (7), the driver element (6) being able to be moved in the direction (RA) toward the ejecting position (A) by means of rotation of the spindle drive (8) in a second direction of rotation and the locking of the shooting device (2) being able to be thereby released.
