[origin: WO2021130301A1] The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a hot-work steel object, wherein a steel melt is produced and the steel melt is subsequently atomized to form a powder, the steel melt having the following alloying elements (all specifications in wt%): C = 0.25-0.32, Si = 0.80-1.20, Mn = 0.20-0.50, Cr = 2.50-5.00, Mo = 2.50-3.50, V = 0.60 to 1.00, and optionally one or more of Ni ≤ 1.00, S ≤ 0.25, P ≤ 0.25, N ≤ 0.1, W ≤ 1.0, Co ≤ 1.0, Cu ≤ 0.9, Ti ≤ 0.9, Nb ≤ 0.9, Ta ≤ 0.9, Zr ≤ 0.9, Al ≤ 0.2, boron ≤ 0.2, the remainder iron and smelting-related impurities, the powder being printed in the powder bed method, the preheating temperature being ≤ 200 °C, preferably 160 to 200 °C, particularly preferably 180 to 200 °C.
