[origin: GB2585964A] A projectile cartridge obturator 1 comprises a main body 2 having a first centrally located projection spaced apart from a first annular skirt portion 3 and a second face with a second centrally located projection spaced apart from a second annular skirt portion 4 located on the periphery of the body. A free end of each skirt portion 3, 4 is configured to form a seal with an interior wall of a projectile cartridge case (e.g. a shotgun cartridge case). The first skirt portion is provided with a secondary seal 5 away from the free end. The secondary seal 5 is also configured to form a seal with the interior wall of the case. The second skirt 4 may also have a secondary seal 6.
