Abstract (en)
Heat sink (1) for a lighting device (100), comprising a base panel (2) having a top surface (20) and a bottom surface (21), and a plurality of pin fins (3) each extending outwardly from the top surface (20) in a protruding direction (4). The bottom surface (21) comprises a mounting section (22) for mounting a light source (200) so as to transfer heat from the light source (200) via the base panel (2) to the pin fins (3) by thermal conduction. The pin fins (3) each have a cross-sectional configuration (Q), when viewed along the protruding direction (4), with a central section (30) and two extension sections (31) extending along an extension direction (5) from opposite sides of the central section (30) so as to taper with increased distance from the central section (30).
