[origin: WO2021144544A1] The invention relates to a method for fixing an end of an actuating cable (13) for orienting the distal head (4) of a medical device, the method comprising the following steps: - providing a pivoting part (12) having at least one fixing column (16) made of a thermoplastic material for fixing a proximal end (13p) of an actuating cable (13); - arranging from the terminal portion of the column (16) a groove (17) that extends radially therethrough to allow the insertion of the actuating cable (13); - positioning the actuating cable (13) inside the groove (17) while a free end (161) extends out of the column (16); - heating at least the free end of the column (16) and applying pressure to the column to ensure the attachment of the actuating cable (13) to the pivoting part (12) by means of welding.
