[origin: WO2021144072A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a motor vehicle rim (2) made of aluminium or an aluminium alloy for a wheel of a motor vehicle, the motor vehicle rim (2) having a rim base (3) bounded on opposite sides by an outer horn (7) and an inner horn (8), a hub (5) with a central recess and a hole circle, and a rim centre (4) connecting the rim base (3) and the hub (5) to one another. According to the invention, the motor vehicle rim (2) is produced in one piece and continuously in a casting mould by pressure casting of a casting material, wherein after the casting material has been introduced into the casting mould (9), a volume of the casting mould (9) is reduced for post-compaction of the casting material. The invention further relates to a device (1) for producing a motor vehicle rim (2).
