Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021143960A1] The invention relates to a barrier gate for blocking and protecting crowds from attacks by vehicles. Based on the solutions in the prior art, the object of the invention is to create a barrier gate, which requires less material, wherein the lane closure can be removed in a controlled manner in spite of its stationary arrangement, and an increased and variably adjustable, reliable protective effect is enabled. The object is achieved in that the positions of the gate can be con trolled by means of a control device and the gate has at least one gate boom, wherein an elastic capturing device retaining the impacting vehicle is arranged inside said gate boom or on the surface thereof, said capturing device consisting of at least two capturing elements which capture the vehicle in horizontal planes arranged at different heights. Advantageously, the capturing device is formed by at least two capturing bands which capture the vehicle in horizontal planes arranged at different heights after the closure of the gate. In order to effectively increase the protective effect, the capturing elements are made from materials or formations with different elasticities and tensile strengths.
