[origin: WO2021155934A1] The invention relates to an apparatus (100) for detachably connecting a battery (32) to an electrical device (12) of an electrical appliance (10), wherein the apparatus (100) comprises at least two electrical contact elements (134, 136, 38, 140), a sliding part (104) and at least one spring element (106, 108). The sliding part (104) has a contact surface (174) for a wall portion (179) of the battery (32) and is movable, relative to the contact elements, counter to a spring force of the at least one spring element (106, 108), from an initial position into a contact position. The at least two contact elements each have a first contact region (142) which is progressively exposed by the sliding part (104) as the latter transitions from the initial position into the contact position. In order to develop the apparatus (100) further such that it can be more easily installed in a battery compartment (30, 31) of the electrical appliance (10), according to the invention the apparatus (100) has a base part (102) on which the at least two contact elements are held and which is detachably connected to the sliding part (104), wherein the sliding part (104) is mounted on the base part (102) so as to be movable back and forth between the initial position and the contact position, the at least one spring element (106, 108) is spring-loaded between the base part (102) and the sliding part (104), and the apparatus (100) forms a unit that can be pre-assembled.
