[origin: WO2021160598A1] The invention relates to pliers (1) having two arms (2, 3) which cross at a pivot bolt (4), one of which being movable and the other being stationary, with grip sections (5, 6) being formed on one side of the pivot bolt (4), and interacting jaws (7, 8) being formed as the beak (M) on the other side of the pivot bolt (4), the stationary arm (2) further having a longitudinal slot (9) with teeth (19), and the pivot bolt (4), which is located in a receptacle (14), being movable about the longitudinal axis (x) thereof, counter to the force of a spring (22), out of engagement with the teeth into a release position and being held in the direction of the longitudinal axis (x) with the aid of a blocking projection (SV), which interacts with a blocking part (ST) in the receptacle (14). According to the invention, to improve pliers (1) of the type in question while retaining high user-friendliness, particularly in terms of easy assembly of the pivot bolt, the blocking projection (SV) and the blocking part (ST) are designed to run over each other during assembly, overcoming the effect of the spring (22).
