[origin: WO2021050015A1] The present invention relates to a rotary control element for a domestic appliance, in particular an oven comprising an inner ring (10) and a radially distant outer ring (20) rotatable with regard to each other, and a mechanical switch turned on or off to selectively conduct electric signals when triggered by the rotary motion between the inner ring (10) and outer ring (20) at a preset angle. The control element further comprises an inner chamber (1 ) confined between an empty radial inner wall (12) of the inner ring (10) and an outer periphery (22) of the outer ring (20) facing the inner wall (12) in which a plurality of mechanical switch elements (40) are disposed in a radially adjacent manner.
