Abstract (en)
The present application relates to a drug delivery device comprises a housing and a plunger rod arranged within the housing. The plunger rod is adapted to advance a piston inside a reservoir containing a medicament in order to dispense the medicament. The drug delivery device comprises a drive including an electric motor to move the plunger rod either in rotation and/or linearly along a central axis of the housing in order to move the piston. Further, the drug delivery device comprises an electronic control element which controls the electric motor, the electronic control element being configured to actuate the electric motor such as to generate an acoustic and/or vibration signal, preferably without moving the plunger rod.
