[origin: EP4112940A1] A screw compressor includes: a casing having a tubular shape; a screw rotor disposed to rotate inside the casing; and a motor disposed inside the casing and configured to drive the screw rotor. The casing includes, as a part thereof, a motor frame housing the motor, and the motor frame has a cooling hole in a high-temperature part where a temperature locally increases during operation, the cooling hole extending parallel to a rotation axis of the screw rotor, the cooling hole being configured to allow refrigerant from outside to pass therethrough.
