Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021175794A1] The invention relates to a support system (1) for a longitudinally elongate, cylindrical, heat-weldable fluid distribution pipe, the system (1) comprising a longitudinally elongate and transversely rounded heat-weldable plastic saddle (2), an electrofusion pad and a clamping strap (3), the saddle (2) having an upper face with a central boss (21) and a lower face, the electrofusion pad being attached in a housing (5) of the lower face, two lug passages (22) being aligned with the boss (21) along a longitudinal axis between the lugs, the saddle (2) comprising, at the sides, two side flanges (20a, 20b) comprising two side ends (28) for attaching to the strap (3), the lower face being concave towards the bottom and in the form of a cylindrical surface with a given radius. According to the invention, a single saddle is configured to be attached by electrofusion to pipes with nominal diameters between a minimum nominal diameter, DNmin, and a maximum nominal diameter, DNmax, with a DNmax/DNmin ratio of between 1.1 and 3.0 and the flanges (20a, 20b) have a gradient of flexibility from the boss (21) towards the side attachment ends, with maximum flexibility near the side attachment ends and minimum flexibility near the boss (21).
