Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021176180A1] The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a solution of a fluorinated copolymer in a solvent, the solvent having a boiling point greater than or equal to 150°C at 1013 hPa and/or a saturation vapour pressure less than or equal to 5 hPa at 20°C, the method comprising a step of mixing the fluorinated polymer with the solvent in a reactor having a stirring mechanism comprising at least one blade, at a mixing temperature ranging from 40°C to 100°C, and at a blade tip stirring speed greater than or equal to 0.1 m/s, until the polymer is dissolved in the solvent. The invention also relates to a solution of the copolymer in the solvent not comprising a co-solvent having a boiling point strictly less than 150°C at 1013 hPa and/or a saturation vapour pressure strictly greater than 5 hPa at 20°C.
